Alcohol-free red wine: prices, ratings and where to buy
Last reviewed

Red is the hardest category, and we will say so plainly. Alcohol carries a large share of a red wine's body, warmth and tannin structure. Remove it and more is lost than in white or sparkling. Alcohol-free red is worth drinking today, but it has not yet produced a bottle we rate as highly as the best whites and sparkling.
Serve it cooler than full-strength red and alongside food rather than on its own. Fat and salt on the plate compensate for the body the wine is missing.
If you are new to alcohol-free wine, this is not the category to start with. Sparkling and white will give you a more convincing first experience. Come back to red once you know what the category can do.
The list below covers every alcohol-free red wine we have found, sorted by rating, with untested bottles at the bottom. An untested bottle is not a verdict. It means we have not opened it yet.
